You might be wondering what exactly Pui Pui Molcar is, and I’m here to provide all of those details about this incredibly cute show as I myself find it absolutely delightful. This is a brief anime series with episodes that are about two minutes long each, and they are charming.

The term molcar is a mix of the Japanese word “morumotto” which means guinea pig and then car at the end. Hence being guinea pig car as the title with pui pui meaning wheek wheek which is the sound those lovely animals make. I’m quite a fan of the creatures, so this was a cool show to discover. Oh, and look up guinea pig wheeks because it’s a charming sound.

Anyways, there have been a few clips of this stop motion series. The highlight and one that drew me in was where one of the poor creatures was snacking on lettuce to then be taken at gunpoint by robbers. The poor thing is sobbing and then speeds away, don’t worry, it has an adorable conclusion. Anyways, it’s such a show of heart and a great time to watch being hilarious.

The Cast
There are a few individuals that make up this team, all voice by real guinea pigs! The characters, or well cast includes Potato; Shiromo, Abbey, Chocolate and Teddy. They all have unique personalties, and enjoy different things. Some of them race around, others eat garbage and it’s just so awesome to see them come to life in this series.

The Episodes
There are five total planned episodes which each dive into different aspects of what it’s like being both a pet animal and a car.

Episode 1: Who is Responsible for the Traffic?
The road is in heavy traffic. The emergency morker carrying the patient cannot move either. What to do with potatoes! ??

Episode 2: Catch the Bank Robbery!
Was Shiromo hijacked by a bank robber? !! Chase with the chasing Patmorker begins ...! ??

Episode 3: Cat Rescue Operation
A hot summer day. There is still a driver's cat in Abby who stopped at the restaurant ...! ?? I have to help the cat from heat stroke!

Episode 4: Musha Musha Osouji
Teddy eats the garbage that the driver litters. The driver who is in good condition throws away trash more and more while driving. However…

Episode 5: Pui Pui Racing
Molkers' race. Actually, there are many traps in the course ... About the position, the race starts!

Those are all of the details we have for now, hopefully this continues onwards with more episodes as it’s quite a hit. These are typically available on Youtube under the Bandai Namco Arts channel but others upload them as well to help with you viewing them.

They seem to appear on Mondays in North America, at least when new episodes drop. Let us know your thoughts on these charming characters and hopefully more of this wonderful anime continues to be delivered! What’s come thus far has been a blast with so many surprises, and it’s the most zany of experiences to see in action for sure.
