The Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT wireless over-ear headphones deliver a first in their line as the premium model goes cordless. That's right, they're aiming to bring the serious high quality they're known for while not sacrificing much to get something that doesn't require a cord to use.
This delivers exceptional clarity; articulate, extended bass and smooth and wide frequency response. The 45mm large-aperture driver has a capability of 15-28,000 Hz frequency. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 and is compatible with aptX and AAC codes for the best possible wireless audio reproduction.
The ATH-M50xBT price is $199 USD and its available now. It provides up to forty hours on a single full charge with its included USB charging cable. That's obviously a long time, in addition it can be used with a wired option for traditional devices and functionality. It still has the fold-flat design with 90 degree swiveling earcups and a professional grade earpads. There's controls mounted on the left earcup for easily handling phone calls, music playback and volume adjustment.
There's also voice assistant technology present. The experience can be enhanced with the Connect app for IOS and Android devices. I thought these were very comfortable to wear and they sounded great. A very immersive experience which is rather excellent considering the busy and very noisy show floor.
