MIRAGE Smart Display Speaker CES 2019 Preview

The MIRAGE Smart Display Speaker was one of the various devices I checked out while at the Cleer booth at CES 2019. It was one of my random visits to see what was being shown in the audio area.

This particular device was a rather interesting speaker, in terms of design and functionality. This device features a curved display with 360-degree sound and it is built upon the Qualcomm APQ8053 Smart Audio platform. It incorporates Bluetooth 4.2 + BLE and Wifi connectivity. There's also integration for Alexa voice assistant support.

The display is a curved 7.8" flexible AMOLED for immersive viewing from all angles. The LED lighting compliments any decor, or time of the day. There's also a music mode where the light will pulse in-sync with your favorite songs. The audio is 3D and immersive as mentioned with a 3.1 channel speaker array. There's selectable DSP modes via the Cleer Connect + app with allows greater control.

The pricing for the MIRAGE Smart Display Speaker is $499.99 USD and it is set to release in the third quarter 2019. I thought this was a rather fancy device, it certainly looks elegant and bright. I wasn't able to do much with it, but observe and get an idea of quality while there.
