Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the latest entry within the long running Playstation exclusive franchise. It follows the two titular characters as they deal with converging dimensions and the appearance of counterparts. You’ll be teaming up with Rivet, a very similar version of Ratchet alongside another robotic mystery pal as they aim to deal with double the evil Nefarious. It’s quite a journey featuring a range of planets, and locations to visit along the way.

You’ll be shooting, platforming and trying to survive the trials while enjoying intense usage of new storage to instantly travel to distant worlds or even areas within the missions. It of course has a boss battle or two as you work across futuristic environments, gathering gear and also finding the odd collectible along the way as well. It won’t be an easy task, but these retired heroes have certainly faced off against worse odds for sure.

It brings back the spirit of the series while really pushing the boundaries early on within the generation of gaming. It’s still a single player campaign experience, but it definitely is filled to the brim with action packed moments and some surprises too with very high quality cinematic options being presented within it. This is also showcased with the performance RT mode for ray tracing visuals throughout the viewing to enjoy. This includes Playstation 5.
