Zombie Army 4: Dead War contains four main characters, these are available as soon as you load up the game and get playing. They can be used across the modes and each have a complicated back story which can also be read below. There are additional DLC characters available through the season pass options or as extra bonus DLC purchases. This expands the option for those that want to play as different style folks within the title. That’s whether you’re working through the campaign, or surviving in the horde mode.

Characters
Boris “The Prisoner”
-As part of the squad that banished Hitler to Hell, Boris is a hero of the Dead War. That is good news, since his skill for violence and contempt for authority mean that if the war were over, he would almost definitely be back in prison. There’s something in his mix of unshakeable loyalty and black humor that suggests he has seen things much worse than the Dead War Boris himself won’t say a word, but those can read his tattoos see hints of a very dark past.
Jun “The Volunteer”
-Jun was an attaché to a Chinese diplomat in Moscow during World War 2 and when Hitler activated Plan Z she joined the fight to push back the dead on the Eastern Front. When the Resistance nuke destroyed Berlin she crossed the warzone to contact humanity’s best chance of survival. Her selfless, focused attitude lets her survive where others die and motivates any squad she’s a part of.
Karl “The Veteran”
-A legendary allied sniper, Karl Fairburne was instrumental in vanquishing Hitler during his first attempt to raise the dead. After the Fuhrer’s defeat, Karl hung back to cover his squad mates’ retreat and was last seen picking off zombies at point blank range while Hitler’s stronghold collapsed around him. Presumed KIA, he returned last month, appearing atop the ruins of Milan Cathedral, sand saving the lives of an outnumbered Resistance squad with a volley of expert fire.
Shola “The Engineer”
-The daughter of a wealthy Nigerian barrister, Shola attended private school in England. During World War 2 she did her part in a munitions factory and when the Dead War began, she volunteered and was stationed as an engineer in Italy. Shola has a practical way of looking at things. Her schooling gives her superb manners, which are perfect to get her out of the trouble her rebellious streak puts her in.
