Zombie Army 4: Dead War does contain a number of secret easter eggs. They’re not necessarily easy to find, and some of them are just subtly hidden. While playing we have come across some of these and we provide details on this particular one below. It’ll give context as to where it’s from, and how to find it within the game while playing.

Highlights & Details
This easter egg is based on “The Shining”, a classic and well loved horror film. It references an iconic part of the movie where the actor Jack Nicholson bursts through a door using an axe as part of his complete breakdown. He screams, “Here’s Johnny!” while doing so.

This is referenced within the game during the mission “Rotten Coast” in the chapter “The Best Laid Plans”. It’s actually easy to miss. While fighting in the final bomb area you’ll deal with waves of zombies. Eventually the butchers will come bursting out, and if you go past them to the top of the area of this sloped map segment you’ll see a small yellow shed that’s wood and split on either side. In the middle, is the iconic phrase.

It’s easy to get trapped here by enemies so be careful, and it’s really quite neat to see. Keep in mind that you can’t spot this until the butchers burst out as I guess one was hiding in there the whole time waiting.
