The Gears 5: Asylum Map is one of the levels available for Versus and Horde matches. It’s one of the launch maps that were present and it’s a brand new creation for this particular entry in the series.

Description: Asylum features a night setting to it where players face off within a symmetrical space. The lower end of the map features cover, with trains that randomly appear throughout matches that could eliminate players. The middle area is tight, with usually an explosive grenade type option. At the top of the map is an elevated platform with ramp options on either side for access. The twilight darkness seeps into the level, providing natural cover for players to move outside as they towards two smaller buildings as the base of the ramps for this elevated position.

Fun Fact: According to "The Art of Gears 5" book this map originally featured a warm pink morning aesthetic as opposed to the dark night that's featured now. The change was to create a more haunting feeling.
