The Gears 5: Foundation Map is one of the levels available for Versus and Horde matches. It’s one of the launch maps that were present and it’s a returning creation for this particular entry in the series coming from the fourth main game.

Description: Foundation is one of the most popular levels that has returned from the previous game, Gears of War 4 and it’s the same style as in there. This map is about tight combat with three primary lanes of play. There’s an enclosed area that’s fed into from two smaller spots that are split by cover. This middle area has lots of cover, usually with an explosive weapon within the middle of it. The middle lane is a straight combative area that splits into the two other lanes once the center is reached from either side. The far end of the map is another lane that’s more open and multi-tiered. A quieter spot, often used for swifter movement with resistance across the map.
