Grounded Water Guide

Release Date: July 28, 2020 (Game Preview)
Platforms: Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC
Publisher: Xbox Game Studios
Developer: Obsidian Entertainment

Water is a basic element of survival in Grounded, you’ll need it in order to keep on living and to be able to perform at your best. There’s quite a bit of liquid you can consume or interact with in the game, but to find clean water that will be harder to come by.

The first thing to note is that you can drink from puddles on the ground, that will however make you sick and deplete your food bar significantly. That’s obviously not a good thing to have happen. You’re really after few, which is a large droplet of fully healthy drinkable water that can be found throughout the map.

You may find it on leaves, underneath a tipped over juice box or even within a dew collector that you yourself produce. Details and a video on these elements can be found below. Just some good tips and tricks when it comes to living a hydrated life in the game.

Hydration Methods
Dew Collector
Recipe: 5 Woven Fiber, 6 Weed Stems, 8 Quartzite pieces, 5 Spider Silk
This is a very helpful method for how to find water and collect it in a safe spot. This will produce a large net that can be placed anywhere. I would suggest doing so in your home. Over time this will gather dew droplets that can be drank right off the collector which are clean as well. You can also collect this water to place within a Canteen or a Container.

Water Container
Recipe: 3 Acorn Shells, 2 Woven Fiber, 1 Clover Leaf
This is a very easy to create option for placing water that you’ve collected. You can add dirty, or clean liquid within this large scale holding option. You can then drink right from it, or place it within a canteen for usage on the go. It can hold a number of swigs forever essentially.

Canteen
Recipe: 3 Grub Hide, 2 Woven Fiber
This one is a bit tougher to get since you need to find grubs using the acorn shovel. Once you’ve got enough hide then it’s easy. This pouch allows you to collect and carry water. It allows two scoops of liquid to transfer to storage, or to be slurped by you while on the go. It’s super helpful in survival, and I highly suggest getting one or even more of these.
